Robertson would have a chance at picking up some delegates only if the process went to a second ballot. But, Thompson added, "We're going to have quite a few people there too." Bush is expected to win the nomination, and Thompson said Robertson backers will support the vice president Thompson said Robertson supporters hope to capture some of the 20 at-large seats on the state party's executive committee.

But he said no one plans to challenge party Chairman Bob Gable. Gable could not be reached for comment. Thompson also said the Kentucky GOP must attract more Democrats to become a viable second party. It is unlikely that Robertson will win any state delegates to the national convention.

But Robertson wants a say in the GOP platform and the activities of the state party, his Kentucky campaign director said. "He's not here to muster up delegates," Philip Thompson said. "We are interested in participating in party affairs. Obviously he wants to have some influence on the conduct of the convention beyond just nominating the president." Robertson did not win any delegates in Kentucky's primary last month. Vice President George Bush won 27 and Sen.

Robert Dole won 11. Bush's campaign is expected to control the convention because Dole has dropped out and Robertson has stopped campaigning actively. Wednesday. Pat Robertson State voters gave him no delegates pie who change parties after a general election from voting in the following primary. A federal judge refused to overturn the law early this February; that ruling has been appealed. Robertson backers contended the law kept Democrats who backed Robertson from being able to switch parties and vote for him. Thompson said the efforts of the Republican Party as a whole could help get the law changed.

By the same principle, the state GOP has a rule that prohibits voters who switched parties after the general election from participating in precinct affairs for the next primary. Robertson's supporters want to change the rule as well. Bush's state organizational chairman, state Sen. David Williams, R-Burkesville, said Bush campaign officials discussed Robertson's visit recently. They want to be sure he is "treated with due respect" Case dismissed against store with adult videos The case against a Jefferson County video-rental store cited Jan.

11 for violating the county's adult-entertainment ordinance was dismissed by Jefferson District Judge Henry Weber yesterday after the store voluntarily complied with the law. William Lee, 22, of the 2100 block of Algonquin Parkway, an employee at Movies Plus, 5044 Poplar Level Road, was cited by county police, but the case later was amended to make the business the defendant. The citation stated that the store violated the ordinance because it had an adult-entertainment section without an adult-entertainment license. Assistant County Attorney Buddy Naber said he recommended dismissing the case against Movies Plus because the store was acting to comply with the law when it was cited. Naber said the store asked the County Attorney's office what it had to do to comply with the law the day before it was cited.

Cases are pending against six other video-rental stores also cited in January: Premier Video, 7918 Fe-genbush Lane; Video Vault, 8316 Preston Highway; and four Roa-drunner Video stores, at 7719 Dixie Highway, 6501 Old Shepherdsville Road, 7918 Fegenbush Lane and 4003 South Park Road. County police Sgt. William Richardson said detectives recently returned to all the stores that received citations; all were in compliance ex-. cept for the Roadrunner Video stores. Richardson said a summons was issued to Terry Schneider, owner of Roadrunner Video Enterprises claiming that the four stores previously cited were out of compliance, along with stores at 6915 Southside Drive and 4316 Cane Run Road.
