He was a native of Bardstown, and a World War I veteran. Survivors include two sisters. Mrs. Rosetta Bennett and Mrs. Robert I.

Russell, and a brother, Louis Ritchie, of Peewee Valley. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 13th and Broadway. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The body will be at A. D. Porter Sons Funeral Home, 1300 W. Chestnut, after noon Monday. Mrs.

Theodore Brown, 49, of 1529 died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday inked Cross Hospital. She was the former Virgie Dodson and a native of Nelson County. Survivors include her husband and a daughter, Miss Ida B. Brown.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Stephen Baptist Church, 1008 S. 15th. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

The body will be at A. D. Porter Sons Funeral Home, 1300 W. Chestnut, after 6 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. Eva Becker Cassin, 76, of 321 N. 35th, died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Survivors include her husband Matt J.

Cassin a son, Matt J. Cassin and a daughter, Mrs. Carl Huber. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St.

Columba Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery. The body will be at Ratterman's Funeral Home, 2114 W. Market after 6 p.m.

Monday. Mrs. Grace Witty Clay, of 216 Sequoya Road, died at 12:45 p.m. Sunday at Mount Holly Nursing Home. She is survived by her son, Dr.

Herbert L. Clay a daughter, Mrs. John L. Garst of Indianapolis, and four grandchildren. The funeral will be 1 p.m.

Tuesday at Herbert C. Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery. The body will be at funeral home after noon Monday. Arthur L.

Vancampen, 66, of 1024 E. Oak, died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday at Veterans Hospital. He a native of Jeffersonville, and was a shipping clerk for American Air Filter Co. He was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors his widow, the former Hilda Friedman; one daughter, Mrs. A. J. Domeck a son, Leo E. Vancampen; his, father, Bryon Vancampen; six grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, 1201. E. Oak, and at 10 a.m.

at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Louisville Mother, 21, Killed in Head-on Crash A Louisville mother was killed last night in a head-on automobile collision six miles east of Mount Sterling on U.S.

60. Mrs. Joan Morris Henry was pronounced dead at 5:15 p.m. by state police at the scene of the accident. Her husband, Lewis Earl Henry, 22, who was driving, was in fair condition last night in Mary Childs Hospital in Mount Sterling.

The driver of the other car, Marion Franklin Curnupte of Kenova, W. was also taken to the hospital for treatment. Mrs. Henry was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Russell Morris, 4848 S. Sixth, and a 1963 graduate of Louisville Male High School. She and her husband were on their way back to Marshall University in Huntington, W. where Henry is a student. The couple had spent the weekend in Louisville visiting their families.

Henry is the son of William F. Henry, 16 Indian Hills Trail, and Mrs. Dorothy G. Henry, 1924 Goldsmith Lane. Minister Shot Guarding Church JETSON, Ky.

(AP) A Mennonite minister was wounded slightly early yesterday morning in a shotgun battle after an all-night vigil with his son to present vandalism. The Rev. John Wickey told Butler County authorities that the vigil was started after windows earlier had been broken in his church, at the Smith Cemetery near Jetson. The Rev. Mr.

Wickey said three men arrived the church and tried to enter, and a gun battle broke out in which the Police minister later was injured arrested Coots, 25, and Carl Martin, 25, both of Morgantown, and Waymon Womack, 24, Auburn. All three were charged with malicious shooting and wounding with intent to kill. Dudley M. Knight's funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Bosse Funeral Home, Barret and Ellison.

Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery. Knight, 48, of 2924 Brownsboro died at 10 p.m. Saturday at his home, Elmer Huelse, 75. of 109 S. Charlton died at 2 p.m.

Sunday at St. Anthony Hospital. He was a native of Jasper, and retired employe of American Radiator Standard Sanitary Corp. He is survived by one son, Anthony E. Huelse, and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bosse Funeral Home, Barret and Ellison, and at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, The body will be at funeral home after 5 p.m.

Monday. Mrs. Gertrude N. Rhodes, 60, of 1910 (rear) W. Walnut, died at 9 a.m.

Saturday at General Hospital. She was a native of Atlanta, and a member of York St. Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Wash Rhodes. The funeral will be at 1 p.m.

Tuesday at York Street Baptist Church. The body is at George R. Mason Funeral Home, 977 S. Preston. Burial will be in Louisville Cemetery.

M. M. (Dutch) Miller, 62, formerly of Louisville, died at 10 a.m. saturday at a hospital in Nashville, Tenn. A native of Hardinsburg, he worked in the sales department of Air Reduction Co.

Survivors include his widow, the former Margaret Doty. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Roach Patton Funeral Home in Nashville. Burial will be in Nashville. Ada Foree Abott, 85, of Houston, Thursday at Bellaire General Hospital, Houston.

She was a native of Sulphur, Ky, She formerly lived at 1339 S. 26th and was a member of Parkland Baptist Church in Louisville. She is survived by daughter, Mrs. Earl Jones, Bellaire, three grandchildren, and one The funeral be at 10:30 a.m. great Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 2611 Virginia.

UK, IU Awarded Library Fellowships Special to The Courier- Journal The University of Kentucky has been awarded 10 federally supported fellowships, totaling $62,500, to provide graduate training of personnel needed by the nation's libraries. This was announced here yesterday by the U.S. Office of Education as it said that during the next academic year, 501 such fellowships, totaling $3,773,250, will be awarded to 38 institutions of higher learning. Under Title II-B of the Higher Education Act of 1965, the colleges will select and train fellows in library and information sciences.

The first priority is for fellowships designed to produce additional instructors for schools of library and information sciences. UK's 10 fellowships will be at the master's level. Indiana University at Bloomington has been awarded 22 fellowships, 6 at the master's level and 16 at the doctoral. They total $197,360. Five Persons Charged With Drunken Driving Three men were arrested yesterday by police and charged with drunken driving.

Police identified them as Edward P. Contreras, 28, of 1118 Milton Clarence L. Jones, 48, of Ekron, and Clarence W. Wesley, 59, of the 300 block of East Ormsby. Two others arrested Saturday on charges of drunken driving were John Robert Johnson 28.

Harry Dale Bittner, 58, of Richmond, died Friday at his home in Richmond. He was a Reynolds Metals Co. employe for 27 years, and native of Louisville. Survivors include his widow, Dorothy a daughter, Nancy Jane, and a son, Harry Wayne Bittner. The funeral will be at 11 a.m.

Kentucky Death ELIZABETHTOWN- -James T. Strong, 50. died Sunday at St. Joseph Infirmary, Louisville. He was manager and part owner of Marcum's variety store.

Surviving are his widow, Velma; a son, James E. Strong, Lexington; and a daughter, Mrs. Brenda Brown, Elizabethtown. Funeral. 2:30 p.m.

He came to Louisville in March for the funeral of her mother, Mrs. Josephine Allgeier. She was the former Dorothy C. Allgeier and lived in Louisville until six years ago when she and her husband moved to Florida. living in Louisville.

Walter Miller, and six grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Church, 1020 E. Burnett, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

The body will be at Russman Son Funeral Home, 1041 Goss, after 6 p.m. Monday. Edward M. Paulin, 67, of McDaniels, died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at Breckinridge County Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg, Ky.

He was a native of Troy, and was a retired machinist for International Harvester. Survivors include his widow, the former Gilmer Perkins; three daughters, 1 Mrs. Carl Borho, Mrs. Charles Graviss, and Mrs. Carl Cooper; three sons, Raymond, Norbert and Robert E.

Paulin; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, 1201 E. Oak, and at 9 a.m.
