H. A. Toulmin, Dayton patent attorney, today resigned as chairman of the board of the Tucker Corporation, Chicago. He sent his resignation to the Securities and Exchange Commission in Philadelphia. Toulmin said in his letter of resignation that Preston Tucker, company president, had disregarded his demands about the proper expenditure of money which had been obtained through sale of stock in the automobile company.

Tucker said he had telephoned Toulmin early today and asked him to resign as chairman of the corporation to make way for "a prominent man now active in the automobile industry." Engineers Decline To Comment On Closing The District Engineers Office here yesterday declined to confirm or deny a report that the suboffice at Paducah might be abolished or transferred. Col. B. B. Talley, engineer in charge of the office, was out of the office and a spokesman said no one else in the office was able to comment on the report.
