DEATHS lllTHE COURIER-JOURNAL KY TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2014lll A9 95 passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014. She was born July 12, 1919 to the late Arthur and Juanita Goins. Mrs. Lea was a member of Highview Baptist Church and a racticing Christian her whole life. She was a friend and a mother to many people, not all of whom were her direct descendants and was in turn loved by many.

She lived a long, full life and knew how to laugh right up to her death. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands, Gilbert Elroy Shepherd, C.C. Clayborn and Oscar Lea, a brother, William Goins and a sister, Helen Boston. Lois is survived by her children, Kenneth E. Shepherd and Barbara Hettinger (Gordon), nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two gre at great- grandchildren, sister-in -law, Elsie Goins and her adopted family.

A Celebration of life will be conducted Thursday, November 6, 2014 at noon in Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, Novembe 5, 2014 from 4-8 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Highview Baptist Church. She was 94. Born July 30, 1920, Bunny, as she was known, was raised in Louisville, the younges child of Nathan and Bessie Berman Waldman. After graduating from Atherton High School, she moved with her parents to Washington D.C. where her skills with shorthand made fo a valued stenographer and secretary on Capitol Hill. Bunny married Herbert Louis Levin, who had followed her to Washington D.C.

They returned to Louisville and ran a successful business. Bunny later worked in the medical ce of her son, Richard, which she continued until recently. Bunny lived through the Great Depression and the Great Flood of 1937, offsetting the practicality of her generation with her joie de vivre. She traveled internationally, loved keeping up with friends and family and at parties was often the last person on the dance oor, even into he last year. Bunny had the ability to make every person she met feel like they were the center of the room.

She was there for her loved majo life events: births, bar and bat mitzvahs, graduations, weddings, but most importantly, she was there for little moments as a dante, a shoulder to cry on, a cheerleader, always providing unconditional love. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Bessie Berman Waldman; a sister, Gertrude Waldman Yanoff; and a daughter-in- law, Irene Miller Levin. Bunny is survived by her sons, Dr. Daniel L. Levin, Arnold J.

Levin (Don A. Powell) and Dr. Richard M. Levin (Pamela her brother, Lester Waldman (Ida); her grandchildren, Jessica Flynn (William James), Amanda (Neil Leventhal), Kimberly (Kurt Becket Pitzer), Shannon, Sharon, Erin and Jordan Levin; her great-grandchildren, Avery Addison and Beckett Richard Flynn and Isabel Jayne Leventhal; as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be 12 noon, Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at The Temple, 5101 US Hwy 42 with burial to follow in The Temple Cemetery.

Debbie was a Deacon a Ridgewood Baptis Church and longtime PTA member. She played softball in he youth and she was an avid UK sports fan.

Debbie loved Elvis Presley and visiting the beach in Daytona, FL. She was a second mother to many nieces and nephews and loving to her three grandchildren. Debbie was born on February 14, 1959, in Louisville to Robert Bratcher and Carolyn Conn. She was also preceded in death by he husband, Jerry Lewis and sister, Karen Baize. Debbie is survived by her parents, Robert and Carolyn; children, Michael Lewis (Natalie) and Amber Farr (John); brother, Dave Bratcher (Diana); sister, Deneane Kuhn (Mike); grandchildren, Landon, Jordan, and Abbie Lewis; many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

MCPHERSON LARRY R. 66 of Mt. Washington, KY, passed away Fri day, October 31, 2014 at his home. Mac retired from G.E. in 2004.

He was preceded in death by one son, Kerry McPherson; one granddaughter, Desiray Mille and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Donna McPher son of Mt. Washington; son, Terry McPherson of Houston, TX; daughter, Angie Maloney Mt. Washington; brother, Gene McPher son of Mt. Washington; two grandsons, Christopher Crenshaw and Corey McPherson; two granddaughters, Tabbi McPherson and Marissa Claypool; and two great-grandchildren.

NUNN MORRIS RAY, 67, of LaGrange, KY, son of Isabell Russell Nunn of Louisville and the late Harold Ray Nunn, born in Green passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at the of Hospital. A member of the Greenwood Church of the Nazarene.

He was a retired inspector for the Ford Assembly Plant in Louisville, KY, and was a veteran of the Vietnam era from 1966-1968 stationed in Germany. Besides his mother, Mr. Nunn is also survived by his wife, Carlotta McCubbins Nunn of LaGrange; a daughter, Jennifer Ray Donovan (Richard); a son, Bradley Nunn (Tyra) all of Shelbyville; three grandchildren: Shelby Rae Donovan, Patrick Lleweyn Donovan, and Camlin Hayley Nunn all Shelbyville; a great-grandchild, Conno Ray Fuery of Shelbyville; two sisters, Barbara Wooden (Wilburn) of Taylorsville, Patricia Nunn of Louisville; two brothers, David Nunn (Beverly) of Louisville, Mar Nunn (Charlotte) of Chicago. She was a membe of Clifton Heights Christian Church and was retired from Brown and Williamson after 32 years dedicated service. Geneva was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Cox; grandson, Wesley; siblings, Helena, Norma, Fulton, and Jennette. Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Charlene Scott (Leroy), Debra (Joe), Kenneth Prather (Linda) and Pamela Jump (Wesley); her beloved son in-law, Johnny Cox; sister, Charlotte Rumbley (Jack); 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was an employee of UPS, and was a former volunteer fo the re department in Auburn Township. David was preceded in death by his father, Donald Chester Riddle and brother, Michael Riddle. Survivors include his mother, Marcelle Riddle; his brother, Philip Riddle; and his niece, Erica Riddle.

He was born October 19, 1949 to Robert and Mary Ann Wallace Sanders.

Bob was a 1967 graduate of DeSales Catholic High School. He worked at Belknap Hardware Mfg. Co. until they closed in 1986. He was retired with 40 years of service as a master sergeant from the U.S.

Army Reserve 100th Division and served 20 years as a Civilian Employee for the U.S. Army. Bob loved his family and friends, and spending time at Old Hickory Inn, enjoying an adult beverage, commonly known as Makers and water, watching UK sports, Wii bowling or playing the juke box. He was known as the best D.J. because of his eclectic song se- lec tions.

Bob loved his annual Florida sh ing trip with the boys. The verdict is still out on who caught the biggest sh! Bob had an epic laugh that could be heard from a mile away and that warmed hearts and brought a smile to face. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his rst wife Judy Bledsoe Sanders. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Maier Sanders, his daughter Amy (Michael), stepdaughter Julie Toler, stepsons Tim Maier (Amanda), Alan Maier (Grace), and Troy Sanders; and grandchildren Brenna, Laney, Ashley, Jay, Hai Hai, Ally, Jessica, Sarah, Josh and Brooke; sisters Sue Metzler (Bud), Becky Humphrey (Carl); brothers Dennis Sanders (Lavonne) and Steve Sanders(Donna). TULLY MOLLIE SUE (SMITH), 82 of Louisville, passed away at 10:50 a.m. on Novembe 2, 2014 at Baptis Healthcare. Born on June 5, 193 2 in Owensboro, KY to George and Louise Smith, she was an RN. She was a graduate of the Murray State University Nursing Program. She worked at the Daviess County Hospital in Owensboro, KY, Baptist Hospital, and Christophe East Nursing Home in Louisville.

Mollie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. She was a Christian woman and a long time and active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

George T. Smith; and her son, John K. (Jack) Tully, Jr. Mollie is survived by her husband, John Kin Tully; children, Susan L. Bleemel, Linda J.

She was a longtime 4H club leader and sang for many years in the St. Peters Episcopal Church choir.
