Crash KjIJs Woman, Grandson Satur- neverthe- elec- A 70-year-old Valley Station woman and her year-old grandson were killed about 8:15 a.m. yesteraay in a car-irucn collision on U. S. 42 about a mile west of Florence, Ky. They were Mrs. Maude Anderson and Charles William Anderson, II, both of 5408 Count Fleet Drive. They were in a car driven by the boy's father, Charles Ray Anderson, 42, of the same address. Trying To Pass State police said the Anderson car was attempting to pass a car and swerved to the side of the road in an effort to miss an oncoming truck. The truck swerved in the same direction, police said, and the two vehicles collided off the road. The truck driver, Clyde M. Davis. 27, Clyde, Ohio, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital, Covington, with a possible skull fracture. Anderson was treated at the same hospital and released. Anderson, a carpenter, and his family and mother moved here August 1 from Cincinnati. They were driving to Cincinnati for a visit with relatives when the accident took place. Mrs. Anderson was born in Indiana. Besides her son, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frances Farmer and Mrs. Eve Eden, both of Cincinnati; two grandchildren, and two I great-grandchildren. The boy's survivors include his father and mother, the former Francine Vilardo; two sisters, Mrs. Eraina Shukas and Miss Sandra Anderson, both of Cincinnati, and a grandfather, Joseph Vilardo, Cincinnati. The bodies are at Busse-Borgman Funeral Home, Cincinnati.
